On the 16th of July 2010, CIPRO has deregistered all companies and close corporations who failed to lodge annual returns by the due date, which was the 15th of July 2010. Although we endeavoured to ensure that all our clients complied before the due date, we realise that we could have missed some.

All companies and close corporations that were deregistered and wish to be re-registered, need to apply for re-registration.

We strongly suggest you check your company/corporation's status at www.cipro.co.za and do a search of your company/corporation. Enter the name of your company/corporation in the 'Name Search' field (at the bottom left of the home page) and see if it appears in the results box. If not, your company/corporation has been deregistered.

If your company/corporation has been deregistered, please contact us as we would be able to assist you in having it re-registered.

We make use of the services of an agent to perform these duties. Fees for the re-instatement are as follows:
• CIPRO fee = R150
• Agent fee = R250
• Total = R400

Once the entity is re-instated the outstanding annual CIPRO fees have to be paid. Those fees are as follows:

PRIVATE COMPANIES
• Annual turnover less than R10 million = R450
• Annual turnover above R10 million but less than R50 million = R2 500
• Annual turnover R50 million and above = R4 000

EXTERNAL COMPANIES AND PUBLIC COMPANIES
• Irrespective of annual turnover = R4 000

CLOSE CORPORATIONS
• Annual turnover less than R50 million = R100
• Annual turnover R50 million and above = R4 000

PENALTY FEE
• For each late lodgement = R150
